Mambo Feel on Drum Set (Nica's Dream)

This post is a tutorial/demo on creating the Mambo feel on the drum set. My good friend and Hot Cat Jazz Band drummer Tommy Palinko breaks down the components of the mambo feel.
The jazz workshop is working on a piece (Nica's Dream) in which the feel is ideal for creating the correct accompaniment for the latin sections.

Thanks Tommy!

"Attached is a flyer promoting our CHSO Student Rush Ticket offer for this coming concert, "A Night at the Opera" on Saturday evening, March 9, 2013 at 7:30 PM in the Milford Town Hall.
the program includes highlights from Mozart Operas, including Marriage of Figaro, Cosi fan Tutte and Magic Flute, Rossini's Barber of Seville and Verdi's Traviatta.
We've got some phenomenal opera voices guest performing with us, and it's a great program for your students in both band/orchestra and choral departments!
All tickets $15 at the door, opens at 6:45 and this offer is good for both your students AND their entire families.

Please encourage them to experience this great orchestra in concert right in their own backyard!!"
